Intellinex Ltd. ("Intellinex", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Flora Signal platform, including the web application at app.florasignal.com, the Flora Signal mobile application, and associated edge devices (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If your organization administrator creates your account, they provide this information on your behalf.

1.2 Device & Sensor Data

The Service collects telemetry data from connected devices including but not limited to: temperature, humidity, soil moisture, light levels, CO₂ concentration, electrical measurements, water flow, and camera images. This data is generated by sensors and edge devices you install and configure.

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, device type, browser type, and IP address.

1.4 Edge Device Data

Edge devices deployed at your site collect and process sensor data locally. A subset of this data is synchronized to our cloud infrastructure for remote monitoring, alerting, and analytics. Edge devices also transmit heartbeat, health, and configuration data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and display real-time sensor data and historical analytics
  • Send alerts, notifications, and operational emails
  • Execute automated control actions (irrigation, climate, etc.)
  • Generate AI-powered insights and recommendations
  • Provide customer support
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage & Security

Sensor data is stored in TimescaleDB databases both on your local edge device and in our cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU region. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. We implement industry-standard security measures including network isolation, role-based access control, and regular security audits.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion request. Sensor data retention depends on your subscription plan. Aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely in anonymized form. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Service providers — Cloud hosting (AWS), email delivery, and analytics services that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Your organization — If you use the Service through an organization account, your administrator may access your usage data and sensor data.
  • Legal requirements — When required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

7. Cookies & Tracking

The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use minimal analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
